The Great British Spring Clean (GBSC) is back for another year and events are taking place across Ealing to help residents get involved in litter picking and community clean-ups.

Ealing Council and the Canal & Rivers Trust are leading on this month's Great British Spring Clean in Southall. Several local organisations are collaborating to help clean up the area along the Grand Union Canal by Bankside.

The location we are targeting has long been a problem and the work planned for the clean-up event is aimed at improving access and making the area more welcoming to pedestrians, runners and cyclists.

Everyone is welcome and those wishing to attend should meet outside the Territorial Army Centre on The Broadway, Southall.

The Army Reserve Centre have kindly offered to provide refreshments for the event and toilet facilities.

All tools required will be provided.
