Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision in Southall

A pedestrian was involved in a fatal collision with a lorry on the corner of High street and Avenue Road in Southall at 8.55am on Monday, 19 June 2017.

Metropolitan Police Officers, London's Air Ambulance and the London Fire Brigade attended.

The pedestrian, a 73-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:18am.

His next of kin have been informed and has not been formally identified.

A post-mortem examination will be arranged and an inquest opened in due course at West London Coroner's Court.

The driver stopped at the scene and no arrests were made.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information.
