The first Parkash festival was held in 2008 which is a religious Sikh festival organised and hosted by Guru Nanak Sikh Academy and supported by the Nanaksar Trust.

The purpose of the festival is to raise funds for the development of educational facilities and sports activities at the Academy.

The three day outdoor festival includes, recitation of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji (Sikh Holy Book), activities for everyone, stalls, exhibitions and kirtan.

This festival plays a major role in bringing communities together from all over the UK.
