The Magic Flute
Opera A La Carte's sister company Regents Opera will transport Mozart's The Magic Flute to a colonial hospital, supplanting freemasonry with a medical hierarchy. Sarastro, as a consultant doctor, represents the moral order in opposition to matron, the Queen of the Night, and her three nurses.

Recovering from a snakebite the hero, Tamino, sets out to rescue the matron's beautiful daughter Pamina who is under the control of Sarastro. The simple bird catcher, Papageno, accompanies Tamino as all make their journey towards enlightenment.

There is no age limit for this event but children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
