Southall Newspapers

Des Pardes Weekly established in 1965 by the late Tarsem Singh Purewal, is a widely circulated Punjabi (Indian) Weekly representing the Punjabi Speaking Community in Britain. It claims to reach "over 80% of Punjabi readers". It also has an English section.

Speaking Punjabi and reading Punjabi are two quite separate things. Not all Punjabi speakers can read Punjabi, even those who were born and raised in India/Pakistan. The current generation in Britain are unlikely to be able to read any.
