Easter and May Bank Holiday Collection Update - 2017

Fri 14 Apr 2017
Rubbish and recycling collections will not change over the Easter holiday period or the May bank holidays.

Your normal collection will take place on Good Friday and Easter Monday as usual. You bin will also be cleared as normal over the May bank holidays on Monday, 1 May and Monday, 29 May 2017.

Rubbish and recycling should be left at the front boundary of your property, or in a place which does not block the pavement, by 7am on your usual collection day.

Residents can place any extra recycling next to their blue wheelie bin in a green box or a clear plastic bag so that it can easily be identified as items for recycling. Any cardboard that does not fit in can be flattened and stacked next to the bin or in a bag if possible.

Recycling left in black rubbish bags will NOT be collected.

Residents are also encouraged to recycle any food that cannot be reused in their food bin as well as recycling as much festive related waste as possible.

The re-use and recycling centres, located in Stirling Road, Acton and Greenford Road, Greenford will be open throughout the Easter holiday period. Normal opening hours (8am – 5pm) apply.
