An evening of farce.
After Magritte by Tom Stoppard and Black Comedy by Peter Shaffer are quality farces by two highly respected playwrights.
Stoppard paints us a rather dark picture of suburbia ruled by an impeccable, insane logic. It's an extremely high quality comedy with hilarious characters and dialogue, but it's something of a rarity on stage.
The key twist in Black Comedy is that when the stage is dark, the characters are in light and can see what they're doing, and when they are plunged into darkness by a power failure.
