When their father is wrongfully imprisoned, three children and their mother move from London to rural Yorkshire. They struggle with poverty and life in a new community, discover their inner resourcefulness, and finally solve the mystery of their father’s fate.
The children draw on reserves of courage and risk their lives to save a train from crashing; and also make new friends in Perks the Station Master and his mischievous family.
It’s a real family show, with a whole range of generations on stage.
Authentic costumes and décor of the period mingle with atmospheric sound, music and steam to evoke the Edwardian era.
