'Beat the Bleep' challenge

Date: Sun 17 Jul 2016
Time: 1 - 4 pm
Description:
The Met Police will be running the 'Beat the Bleep' challenge. It is an opportunity to see what officers have to do to keep fit and residents can even compete with them!

Ever wondered what the Bleep test requirement is to become an Operational police Officer, Public Order Officer, Police Diver, Firearms Officer or Specialist Police Firearms Officer?

Why not find out? Run with local Officers. Who knows, you may even beat them!

It's free to take part and under 18's will receive a participation Certificate highlighting the levels reached.

All you have to do is turn up on day.
(under 18s will need a disclaimer form to be signed by parent/guardian)

On the same day the park will also mark the end of the annual Birmingham to London charity bike ride arranged by the Sikh Arts & Cultural Association (SACA).

The park will be full of hundreds of cyclists who have completed the ride from Birmingham to raise funds for children and young adults receiving cancer treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

I am sure we all agree this is an excellent cause to support and I know that the cyclists enjoy the encouragement they receive from members of the public.

The cyclists will probably start arriving between 2-3 pm and so if you are available please do come along to Southall Park and support them as they arrive in Southall.

Location:
Southall Park,
Southall,
UB1 3BT

If you have a local event, kindly share with the rest of Southall, by sending it to us via email.
