MAJOR NHS CUTS & CHANGES IN EALING - PUBLIC MEETING
Date: Wed 16 Nov 2016Time: 7:30pm
An important meeting that has been arranged by Healthwatch Ealing regarding proposed changes to NHS care across Ealing.
Major cuts and changes are proposed for NHS care across Ealing.
These include the closure of the A&E’s and inpatient wards at Ealing and Charing Cross Hospitals. Over 500 hospital beds will be cut across North West London.
Ealing Hospital currently performs a vital role in providing healthcare for the residents of a wide geographic area which has high levels of multiple deprivation.
In future Ealing patients, and their family carers, will have to travel to more distant hospitals on poor public transport.
Also, our already overworked GP’s will be expected to take on even more patient care.
These cuts and other changes are described in a document called the “Sustainability and Transformation Plan” (STP).
Healthwatch Ealing has a legal responsibility to ensure that residents are aware of the proposed changes.
We are holding a public meeting to outline:
Everyone will be welcome at the public meeting.
Looking forward to seeing you at the public meeting
