White Ribbon Day - Southall
Date: Fri 25 Nov 2016Time: 11am - 4pm
Friday 25th November is White Ribbon Day, a day to support and celebrate anti-violence against women services and initiatives in Ealing.
Southall Community Alliance has worked with Southall Black Sisters and the Met Police to arrange the day and expect a range of partner organisations to attend and have stalls at the event.
The day will include outdoor street stalls, people signing a pledge, film showings, talk about female genital mutilation (FGM), street performances etc.
We are delighted to also have contributions from Kiranjit Ahluwalia and the Borough Commander, Chief Superintendent Paul Martin, just after midday.
The day will include outdoor street stalls, people signing up to a pledge, film showings, talks about different forms of violence against women, street performances etc.
Although the programme runs from 11.00 till 4.00 pm we welcome residents or groups who can only stay for a short while and we will try and get as many people as possible signing our pledge to tackle domestic violence.
