London Challenge Poverty Week in Southall

Southall Community Alliance has planned a week of activities in October related to tackling poverty as part of London Challenge Poverty Week.
The programme that runs from 17th – 21st October, with each day having a different theme and invited speakers.
Their aim is to get people talking about poverty, raise awareness of the different forms and impacts of poverty in Ealing, but they also want to consider solutions that can be applied locally.
The agenda is:

Housing and Homelessness
19th Oct 2022 – Day 3 (11am-2pm)
Poverty and Health
20th Oct 2022 - Day 4 (11am-2pm)
Poverty, Discrimination and Dignity
21st Oct 2022 - Day 5 - (11am-2pm)
Income and Social Security
The week of activities is FREE and open to all.
We would welcome residents and group representatives to come on as many days as they like.
As well as sharing information about different forms of poverty and trends, we also want to spend some time considering solutions to some of these problems.
