Fresh from India, innocent Simmy arrives to marry the family's eldest son Raj. Surprisingly, Raj flees, leaving Simmy trapped in the house by her controlling mother-in-law.
Yet, Simmy proves more astute than expected. She swiftly garners the aid of the family's discontented in-laws, including a sugar-addicted diabetic grandpa and a risky yet attractive brother-in-law who's just been released from jail. Together, they craft a plan for Simmy's grand getaway.
