Season 1: The Kapoors – Raj to Ranbir is a musical celebration of one of India’s most iconic film families and their lasting influence on Indian cinema.
From its early foundations to its modern stars, this concert honours generations of creativity, storytelling and timeless music.
It is an immersive evening where music, memory and nostalgia intertwine, bringing together song, dance and emotion in a tribute to a remarkable cinematic legacy.
The journey begins with Prithviraj Kapoor and unfolds through the legendary contributions of Raj, Shammi and Shashi Kapoor, followed by Rishi, Randhir and Rajiv Kapoor, and continues with Karisma, Kareena and Ranbir Kapoor.
Each generation is reflected through the music of its time, capturing the spirit, romance and drama that defined their eras on screen.
The concert revisits classic melodies inspired by Mukesh, Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar, flows through the romantic voices of Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan, and embraces contemporary sounds influenced by Arijit Singh.
These are complemented by iconic female vocals associated with Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosale, Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy and Shreya Ghoshal, creating a rich and evocative musical tapestry.
Eastern Euphony is a London-based professional music platform dedicated to celebrating Bollywood and Hindi film music. Since 2015, it has delivered over one hundred performances in the UK and internationally.
This concert launches Season 1 of a five-part series by Eastern Euphony and The Showman’s Studio, honouring the icons and eras that shaped Indian cinema.
