Families in Southall can access free school uniform items at a regular community event aimed at helping households save money and reduce clothing waste.

The event takes place at Manor House Café, outside the Manor House Grounds on the Green in Southall. It runs on the last Saturday of every month, from 10 am to 12 noon.

Parents and carers can pick up to five school uniform items per child for free. Items typically include essentials such as shirts, trousers, skirts, jumpers and other school clothing donated by local residents.

Families are also encouraged to bring along school uniform items that are no longer needed or have become too small, so they can be reused by others in the community.

Donations are also accepted at Southall Library & Dominion Centre on The Green, where many contributions have already been received. Organisers have thanked residents for their ongoing support, noting that donated uniforms are helping to support families across the area. Other borough-wide drop-off points are available through the Ealing School Uniform Swap network.

The Southall event forms part of Ealing’s wider uniform reuse and community support programme, which promotes recycling, reduces waste and helps families with the rising cost of school essentials.

Alongside the uniform event, a free Dr Bike service is also available on site. Qualified mechanics provide free bike checks and minor repairs between 10 am and 1 pm. Pre-booking is available by emailing mechanics@accteams.uk or calling 07949 877 511.
