Southall will once again host the popular Southall Super Sprints, bringing an evening of canoe and kayak racing to the local community.

Organised by The Sharks, the event welcomes paddlers of all abilities, from beginners trying racing for the first time to more experienced competitors looking to improve their times. Races take place on the canal at Southall over short sprint distances, creating a fun and friendly atmosphere for both participants and spectators.

The event features timed races over 200 metres and 500 metres, with paddlers able to compete in a range of boats and at different experience levels. Equipment support is available, making it accessible for those new to paddle racing.

The Southall Super Sprints 2026 series takes place on Thursday 27 August 2026 and Thursday 24 September 2026, both starting at 3:30pm, giving local paddlers and spectators the opportunity to get involved and enjoy the event.

The races are held at the canal-side venue near Havelock Road, Southall (UB2 4GG), with access via the footbridge from Havelock Road.

The series aims to encourage more people to get active, discover paddle sports and enjoy friendly competition close to home. It also supports local schools and community involvement, helping introduce young people to canoeing and racing.
