Southall Railway Centre - Public Open Days
Date: Sun 17 Jun 2007Time: 11am - 6pm
Southall Railway Centre, London’s only railway heritage site, houses an interesting historical stock of steam and diesel locomotives, including the AEC Shunter – only one of its kind. There are many GWR and BR wagons and coaching stock, many restored to their original condition.
There is a display/museum area together with refreshment facilities. Workshops house some of our stock and railway artifacts.
Train rides are free, with a current entry ticket.
The Group Directors and membership welcome all age groups to come and see for themselves all that has been done to create a new Heritage site for everyone to enjoy and reflect in the age of steam.
Access to Southall Railway Centre is via Armstrong Way and Collett Way from Windmill Lane.
The site will be open to the public from 11.00am to 6.00pm. We are open for the August Bank Holidays.
