With recent articles by national media exposing that many products labeled halal contain pork products, is a halal sticker on the packaging or a halal sign in the shop window enough proof for you?
This eye-opening event will remind you of the importance of eating halal, expose the malpractices of the halal industry & show you the best way to verify if what you are eating is halal.
Session 1: The Importance of Halal
This session will show that we have been commanded to eat halal, discuss the benefits of eating halal and the dangers of eating haram intentionally or accidently.
Session 2: Out of Sight, Out of Mind
This session aims to highlight the demand for halal in this country, the shortcuts being taken by the halal industry and the need for a much tighter monitoring process for halal production.
Session 3: The Birth of HMC
This session discusses the motivation beghind HMC, the principles behind it, HMC halal criteria & monitoring structure, its national structure and what has been achieved through HMC so far.
Session 4: Questions & Answers
This session allows the audience to interact with the presentation panel and ask questions about what was presented, local challenges being faced or the way forward.
