For the fifth year Trafalgar Square will mark the Muslim Festival of Eid-ul-Fitr. This marks the end of the month of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast from dawn to sunset.

The Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations are an exciting time intended to bring diverse communities, families and friends together.

Visitors to the square will be able to see live acts and entertainment and enjoy various stalls and exhibitions on display. There will also be a children’s play area and of course a prayer marquee for adults.

Artists taking part will include:

• Quest-Rah - Hip-Hop with an oriental twist
• Cheb Nacim - North African artists
• Akeem - French based band incorporating rap, hip hop and spoken word
• Nahini Doumbia - UK based band with tribal African drums
• Amir Awan - North London composer, singer and songwriter
• Khaleel Muhammad - adds his own style to traditional sounds
• SilkRoad - acoustic sufi rock n soul
• Zee TV artists SK1 Shakeel Khan and R n B singer Mumzy
