Today was the 60th Anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence. On such occasions Southall is full of people coming from out of town to celebrate on the Southall Broadway.

Due to unsavoury behaviour in the past, there have been restrictions on certain activities. There was a noticeable Police presence on Southall Broadway. The constant rain was another factor in ensuring the atmosphere remained calmer.

A coach full of Pakistan under 19 cricketers were among the guests at Chaudhry’s TKC on the Southall Broadway.

There were several Police officers at the doors to ensure that only invited guests were allowed in.

The red carpet rolled out for the guest was soon wet it was constantly raining later in the day.
