Ealing Southall CLP (Constituency Labour Party) had very successful fundraiser at The Centre Banqueting on Merrick Road, Southall on evening of Thursday 12 September 2019.

They had good turnout and should have increased their bank balance by at least £10K

Asghar Khan of Dawat Restaurant on Southall Broadway made a donation of £5K to the Labour party. There were 2 donations of £1K, one from the Al Sultan Restaurant on South Road. There were 4 donations of £500 or more.

Dr Onkar Sahota, the Chair of Ealing Southall CLP and GLA member for Ealing & Hillingdon said that there was "no bigger issue in Southall than the Southall gasworks health problem".

The Leader of the Brent Council Cllr Muhammed Butt spoke passionately and got lots of loud applause.

There were a lot of Ealing Southall councillors as well as Labour people from Slough and Hounslow.

Items including a tabla were auctioned off to raise funds.

There was live entertainment music.
