Southall entrepreneur reaches final of Lloyds TSB Jewel Award
Sat 22 Sep 2007There were over 6,200 nominations which resulted in 18 prominent figures in Southern England’s Asian community to be short listed for this year’s Lloyds TSB Southern Jewel Awards. The final took place at the London Hilton, Park Lane on 15th September 2007.
Dipna who reached the final in the Retail, Food & Franchise Category of the Lloyds TSB Jewel Award, has created a complete menu of delicious low-fat recipes for her father’s restaurant.
Her A-Level Food Technology project on low-fat Indian cookery won an award from the British Nutrition Foundation as the best project in the country. She wants to transform the perception of Indian food as going hand-in-hand with healthy food.
Lloyds TSB sponsors 3 Regional awards, the Northern, Central and Southern. There are 7 award categories and each category has 3 nominations.
