Ealing Half Marathon 2022
Thu 22 Sep 2022Thousands of spectators will line the route and support the runners, contributing to the famous #EalingFeeling.
Ealing Half Marathon is West London’s only fully closed road half marathon and is well known for its fantastic community support.
Many of the runners are raising money for charity.
Taking part will be elite runner Jonathan Poole, winner of the race for the last four years. He will be joined by fellow elite Andy McCaskill (2nd placed male in 2021) and Sharan Basrai (third place female 2021).
The 13.1-mile race, in its 10th year, will start at 9am in Lammas Park. It will then take in the leafy streets and parks of Central Ealing, Montpelier, Pitshanger, West Ealing, Hanwell and St Stephens, before returning to Lammas Park.
The official race charities are Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and Meadow House Hospice, and the 2022. Over £3 million has been raised for charity in the last nine years.
To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, all the roads that the event passes through will be closed to traffic at some stage during the event.
The first roads will close from 7am on the day of the event and it is anticipated that all roads will reopen by 1pm.
