Jasveer Singh, Sikh Journalist/writer, wrote that he expected the Panthic Party to win. The following a summary of his reasons.
The Panthic Party was formed from members of the three competing groups that wanted to avoid a costly election and avoid the mudslinging that goes with it.
The leaders of the new party have decades of experience in Gurdwara committees but for opposing parties. Kulwant Singh (Sher Party) and Himmat Singh (Baaj Party) have been part of the only two parties to ever run the Gurdwaras. They've decided to drop these deep ties and work together.
Panthic Party also includes individuals known for seva (selfless service). This seva representation largely comes from the Tera Panth Vasse party which the late visionary Bhai Jagraj Singh started.
