Improved Resident Parking Permit process?
Tue 09 Oct 2007Were you surprised to learn that Ealing Council had moved their Parking Section to another building, the last time you went to renew your Resident Parking Permit in Ealing. Southall residents won’t be surprised to find out that Ealing Council have done it again.
The queues which used to be half an hour long are now one hour long.
Last year, you could turn up in person on the last day and obtain your permit immediately. Now residents can still hand in their application form, money and proof of residence but they will have to wait up to 3 weeks to receive the permit in the post.
The resident’s application must reach the Council offices by the 10th of the month to ensure that the permit is issued prior to the expiry date. Residents will be held responsible for any Penalty Charge Notices received as a result of late application.
Some Southall residents expecting to purchase the 3 hour Resident Visitor Parking vouchers will be diaappointed to find out that none will be available for about 3 weeks for their particular zone. There is no shortage of all day Resident Visitor Parking vouchers.
