Further parking enforcement action on Southall Broadway
Mon 16 Jan 2023Local residents see a lot of irresponsible and dangerous parking and ask "Where are the bleeding enforcement officers?"
On Friday night, 13 January 2023, Ealing Council’s parking enforcement team were out with the local policing team from Southall Broadway ward
They issued about 80 parking tickets to individuals parked in the most ridiculous of places such as the pavements on The Broadway, Southall.
This was the third time enforcement action has taken place.
One resident said: "It’s not just about one night, this should be EVERY night as the parking situation is out of control."
Another resident said "Ealing Council can you do the same on King Street Southall. It is nightmare all times of the day with people parking on the double yellow lines."

On the first enforcement operation on Friday night (4 November 2022) the police and Ealing Council issued 79 parking tickets for parking on the pavement in Southall Broadway.
On the second enforcement operation on 8 December 2022, they issued 80 parking tickets and 12 tickets for littering/fly tipping.
On that occasion, Ealing Council Leader, Peter Mason said "Had a very interesting chat with the owner. Claims he couldn’t leave it in a car park as it draws too much attention." Parking a Lamborghini on the pavement on Southall Broadway is to attract LESS attention!
People with expensive cars have a bad habit of parking them on pavements. They can't bear to leave their cars out of sight. A fine is not a deterrent for them. Need clamping and towing.
"Don’t think a poxy ticket means anything to someone driving a lambo."
