Ealing Council is holding roadshows across the borough to give residents the opportunity to find out more about the improvements to refuse and recycling services being introduced from 19 November 2007.

The Council’s Recycle More Tour will visit six locations and will have experts on hand to provide recycling advice and answer residents’ questions.

The Southall roadshow will take place outside Quality Foods and Icelands on South Road on Saturday 3rd November 2007 between 1pm - 3 pm.

Thursday 1 November
· Outside Morrison’s, King Street, Acton 10am-Noon
· Outside West Ealing Library, Melbourne Avenue, West Ealing 12.45pm-2.45pm

Friday 2 November
· Tesco Hoover Building, Perival 10am-Noon
· Outside Woolworths, Greenford Broadway, Greenford 12.30pm-2.30pm

Saturday 3 November
· Town Square, Ealing Broadway Centre, Ealing 10am-Noon
· Outside Quality Foods and Iceland, South Road, Southall 1.00pm-3.00pm

From 19 November wide-ranging improvements will be made to refuse and recycling services in the borough.

The £3.8 million revamp of services taking place from 19 November will include:
· Same day collections of refuse and recycling
· Same day pick-up for missed refuse collections reported to the Council by 5pm
· Street cleaning to take place by the end of the next working day following collections
· Free wheelie bins for parts of Southall
· Collection of plastic with household recycling services
· Introduction of weekly garden waste recycling
· Improved appointment-based special bulky waste service
