Celebrations for the Coronation of King Charles III

Thu 04 May 2023
Southall and other towns in the London borough of Ealing are preparing to join the rest of the nation in commemorating the Coronation of King Charles III by organizing street parties.

Ealing Council's decision to scrap the road closure fee and provide financial aid of up to £150 per street party has been welcomed by residents.

The fact that more than 190 applications were received for the Coronation street parties indicates that a significant number of residents are actively preparing to celebrate the occasion by hosting street parties with their loved ones and neighbours during the weekend of the Coronation.

Lots of coronation events will be taking place in Southall but they won't be properly promoted and it has nothing to do with the community's lack of digital access.

People don’t find it necessary to promote them or to promote them online to the general public. Only they know the real reason for that.
