Second Ealing Tree Festival to take place in Southall
Mon 22 May 2023Ealing Council and the environmental charity Trees for Cities have once again teamed up to celebrate the beauty of trees and encourage the community to embrace their planting and appreciation.
Trees provide a thriving home for urban wildlife and help to mitigate the effects of climate change. There is no better way to show our gratitude than with a joyful celebration in their honour.
Participate in a variety of engaging activities geared towards both children and adults. Discover the vast range of trees present in Ealing. You can take part in:
- Tree walks -Learn about urban trees and their benefits
- Wildlife discovery
- Live music
- Craft workshops and much more.
- Storytelling
- Art
The festival is open and free for people of all ages. No reservations are required, so feel free to drop in on the day with your family, friends, and neighbours.
Councillor Deirdre Costigan, cabinet member for climate action said: "Trees play such an important role in our plans to re-grow and re-wild Ealing, making it a great place for families, whilst also improving biodiversity and the quality of the air we breathe."
