Detectives are urging anyone with information or who witnessed a road traffic collision in Southall, which resulted in a pedestrian sustaining serious injuries, to come forward.

The collision took place at the intersection of Uxbridge Road and Greenford Road at approximately 05:55 hours on Sunday, 15 October 2023.

A man in his 40s was struck by a car while waiting at a bus stop. He is currently in a critical condition at hospital. Specialized officers are providing support to his next of kin.

The driver responsible for the incident did not stop at the scene, and efforts are ongoing to locate this individual.

A man, suspected to have been in the car at the time, was apprehended near the location on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving. He has been released on bail while further investigations take place.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating. They are especially interested in receiving information from individuals who may have dashcam footage of the collision, were present in the vicinity during the incident, or possess any details about the vehicle's driver.
