Fake doctor convicted after treating patient at Ealing Hospital
Mon 21 Oct 2024Kreuena Zdrafkova entered the Ealing hospital on 19 April 2024, when she was 19 years old. The Bulgarian national disguised herself in medical attire.
Zdrafkova introduced herself to two police officers as "Dr. Christina" while they were guarding an unconscious prisoner who had been brought to the hospital under arrest.
She injected an unknown substance into the mouth of the unconscious man using a syringe. Although her actions were described as compassionate, they were part of a fantasy she was living out, rather than a targeted assault.
During her trial at Isleworth Crown Court, it was revealed that Zdrafkova had aspirations of becoming a doctor but had faced challenges in her life, including being married at the age of 14 and having twin daughters.
She pleaded guilty to the charge of assault and was sentenced to a 12-month community order, including 15 days of rehabilitation. Zdrafkova is now banned from entering any NHS facility unless she requires emergency medical care.
