Drug dealer jailed following Southall investigation

Ahmed Safi had been known to Southall Green ward officers for some time and was often seen sleeping rough between Southall and Hillingdon.
He was frequently present in the Southall Green area, where concerns about his behaviour had been raised.
Although police suspected involvement in drug dealing, there was initially not enough evidence to take action for drug offences.
Officers instead used anti-social behaviour powers, issuing an Anti-Social Behaviour warning which was later escalated to a Community Protection Warning.
When his behaviour did not improve, a Community Protection Notice was issued with restrictions, including bans from UB1 and UB2 areas and possession of drug-related items.
During a later encounter, Safi appeared nervous and tried to leave quickly, prompting officers to detain and search him.
A significant quantity of Class A drugs was found on him, confirming his involvement in drug dealing in the area.
He was arrested, remanded in custody, and later sentenced to three years in prison for drug offences, with an additional
