Fri 08 May 2026
A 19-year-old man from Southall has been jailed for four years and six months after admitting offences including stalking two teenage girls and possessing terrorist material.

Dihan Rahman was sentenced at the Old Bailey following an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing London.

The court heard that Rahman carried out a sustained stalking campaign against two teenage girls and a teacher, repeatedly contacting and targeting them after his advances were rejected, causing significant distress.

Police began investigating after concerns were raised about his behaviour. During the inquiry, officers examined his phone and computer devices and discovered extremist material, including guides on how to build bombs and content linked to a range of extremist ideologies.

Counter Terrorism Policing London said the material included bomb-making instructions and other terrorism-related documents stored on his devices.

Rahman pleaded guilty to stalking offences and possession of documents useful for terrorism. He was later sentenced to four years and six months in custody.

Authorities said the case highlights ongoing concerns about young people being exposed to extremist content online and the risks it can pose when combined with harmful behaviour offline.
