A student film-maker needs your support and help in making a short documentary on the Southall Riots (uprisings) of 1981.

Hamish M Chohan is a student at the University of Arts, London. He grew up near Southall and is making a short documentary on the Southall Riots (uprisings) and the events that led up to it on that day, Friday 03rd July 1981.

He is looking for photos or film footage that may have been recorded But more importantly people to interview who where caught up in the riot to gather their first-hand accounts and make an accurate documentary about what happened and how it changed and shaped the Southall community over night.

Mr. Chohan said “All contributors will be treated with respect and fairness under UAl's ethical code. We will only use information with the consent of those who wish to participate.”
