Are you sure that the Filet-o-Fish that you eat at McDonalds is Halal?

The only option available for Muslims at McDonalds has been the Filet-o-Fish. They have been assuming that it is Halal.

It will come as a surprise to most Muslims to learn that McDonalds have just stated that they cannot guarantee that it is Halal.

Their response to Fatima, who asked if was suitable for a halal diet, was “No, the Filet-o-Fish meals are not Halal. Currently, McDonald’s does not classify any of the items on its menu as Halal, though the fries are certainly vegetarian.”

Although the fish is halal and it is prepared in a non-hydrogenated vegetable oil, Anything which is doubtful, as in this case, cannot be seriously considered to be Halal.
