How did Benazir Die?

A surgeon who treated her, Dr Mussadiq Khan, said the cause of her death was most likely from shrapnel wound. No denial of the existence of any bullet wounds was made.
The interior ministry said the primary cause of Ms Bhutto's death appeared to have been a knock on her head on a lever on the vehicles sun roof, and not bullets or shrapnel.
The Pakistan government quickly blamed the militant leader Baitullah Mehsud for the killing. His spokesman was quick to deny any involvement.
Pakistan Peoples Party people state that "There was a clear bullet wound at the back of the neck. It went in one direction and came out another... My entire car is coated with her blood, my clothes”.
Nearly 40 people have died in widespread unrest since Benazirs death on Thursday.
Train stations, 72 train coaches, 176 banks, 34 petrol stations, 370 cars, motorcycles, 735 shops and 158 offices have been burnt.
Forced closing of businesses and the mindless violence has meant that not only are people afraid to go out but there is also a serious lack of food in the market place. Even food supplies to some markets have been hijacked. The serious lack of petrol is preventing people from receiving urgent medical treatment.
