£2 million to improve Southall town centre

Mon 18 Feb 2008
Southall residents, retailers and businesses are being invited to a meeting to discuss proposals to revitalise the town centre.

Ealing Council has announced plans for a £2 million investment, as part of its budget proposals, to improve Southall town centre. Residents will be able to obtain more information about the project and share their ideas on Wednesday, 27 February 2008.

The meeting will take place at Hambrough Primary School, South Road, Southall, from 7-8.30pm. There will be an opportunity to browse the proposals from 6.30pm.

Consultants Llewellyn Davies Young have developed a plan on how the town should develop to meet the changing needs of local residents. The money is being set aside to carry out some of their recommended work.

Money will also be made available to help shopkeepers improve their stores and window displays.

This budget proposal is due to be discussed and formally agreed at a meeting of the Council on 4 March 2008.
