Another Southall train fatality - update

Sat 01 Mar 2008
According to the Southall Gazette (Friday edition) a Southall school girl threw herself in front of a high speed train on Monday because she was being bullied at school.

It states that the Greenford High School student Naryam Mohammed, of Somali origin, arrived at the Southall station at 12.20pm and threw herself in front of the 9.20am high speed train from Swindon to Paddington.

The same train and times are mentioned elsewhere.
Some one else thinks it was the “10:25 from Cardiff Central”.

But there is no 9.20 train from Swindon to Paddington. The trains run every 11, 29, 41 and 59 minutes past the hour. The journey time is approximately one hour and 3 minutes. If it was the 9.29am train, then the accident would have happened at 10.20am.

The most likely explanation is that it was the later 11.29am train from Swindon which reaches Southall at about 12.20pm.

Facts are very hard to come by when there is no official information released.
