Fri 21 Mar 2008The mosques of Southall are normally full for Friday Juma prayers. Most of them cannot accommodate the congregation with a single service.
On Easter Friday, there were overflowing, as twice the normal amount of people turned up.
Next weekend, they will be on the streets of Southall, as they celebrate the annual Milad-un-Nabi – the Birthday of the prophet Mohammed.
The procession will start from the Jamia mosque in Townsend Road after the Zohr prayers. It will proceed along the Broadway, South Road and end at the Southall Community Centre on Merrick Road (opposite SunRise Radio).
