There will be traffic disruptions in Southall on Sunday afternoon as a religious procession proceeds along the Broadway.

The event is the annual Muslim Festival of Milad-un-Nabi – the Birthday of the prophet Mohammed.

The procession will start from the Jamia mosque in Townsend Road at around 2 pm.

It will proceed along the Broadway, South Road and end at the Southall Community Centre on Merrick Road (opposite SunRise Radio).

The procession will be followed by a religious family programme at the Southall Community Centre.

To keep the traffic moving on the roads, bus lanes will be used for the procession.

Townsend Road and Merrick Road may be closed for a short time.
