Boy abandoned in Southall - update
Wed 09 Apr 2008A nine year old Sikh boy, Gurrinder Singh, was abandoned in Southall on Tuesday, March 18.
He could not speak English and said that his parents were dead and had been in the UK for several years.
Then a family claimed that he was their son Shintu Kumar, who was abducted from India 3 years ago.
Now according to the article in the Mail on Sunday, Kuldip Singh from Punjab, India, has claimed that the boy is his nephew Gurinderjit Singh, the son of his younger brother Mohinder.
He goes onto say that the boy’s mother, Deepinder Kaur, entered the UK illegally in early March, along with her son. She then just abandoned him.
After the breakdown of her marriage, she left home with her son, in October, to find work.
Go to all the trouble of bringing him all the way from India, to Malaysia, then to France and finally the UK. Just to abandon him? Does not make sense.
The father is living illegally in some western country and cannot come forward for obvious reasons.
