More parking trickery from Ealing council?
Sun 18 May 2008Now they are being accused of taking photos of legally parked cars at such an angle as to hide/omit the valid permit/ticket on display.
People who complain to Ealing will receive an unsympathetic standard response. This is their way generating more revenue. The Council would dispute this but hardly any motorist will agree with them or believe them.
The only way to get any justice is to go to court and explain to the court that there is no way any motorist should be charged with any offence, if all the motorist did was to go to get a ticket/voucher from nearby machine/house.
The council may not allow the motorist reasonable time to do this but the courts should take a more reasonable line. Only after trying to explain it flawed reasoning and having incurred costs, will Ealing Council be prepared to show a more caring face.
The motorist is not supposed to get a ticket/voucher before parking. The ticket/voucher is obtained after parking.
Motorists should try not to leave their cars unattended until they have a valid ticket/voucher on display. If you have a local news story, share it with the rest of Southall, by using the contact form.
