Southall youth sentenced for heroin stash

Sun 13 Jul 2008
A 16 year old Southall teenager had almost £100,000 of heroin stashed in his bedroom.

He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin and was given an 18 month detention and training order at Isleworth Crown Court.

The 16-year-old, riding a scooter, failed to stop at a police cordon in Quaker Lane, Southall on April 14 (Vaisakhi Day).

He managed to evade officers but was arrested shortly afterwards. Police carried out a search of the road and found the ditched scooter with a rucksack containing three bags of heroin.

When a search of his home was carried out, stunned officers found a shoebox full of heroin worth £100,000 under his bed.

Another charge of driving a stolen moped without insurance was dropped due to lack of evidence.
