Less than 2 weeks after the closure of Woolworths in Southall, 99p Stores will be opening their doors from the same premises on Wednesday.

The Southall branch of Woolworths closed on Friday 2nd January 2009.

The 99p store will open on Wednesday 14th January 2009.

99P Stores Ltd was founded in January 2001 by Entrepreneur Nadir Lalani.

He opened 4 stores in that year, the first store being in Holloway (London).

In 2002 he decided to expand and currently has 66 stores through out the UK.

His aim is to have 120 stores with 2500 employees by 2010.
