Ealing services affected by snowfall
Mon 02 Feb 2009The worst snowfall in 18 years has caused travel chaos on the roads and railways and closed many schools.
The adverse weather and dangerous driving conditions led to all London buses being withdrawn from service.
In Ealing all libraries were closed and all refuse and recycling services were suspended.
All refuse collections this week will take place a day later than normal, ie Monday collections will be carried out on Tuesday.
These arrangements may be revised further if adverse weather conditions persist.
Most of the schools in Southall are closed. Hambrough Primary School on South Road and Featherstone High School on Montague Waye are closed today.Villiers High School on Boyd Avenue was closed for children in year 7 to 9.
In the morning everything was covered in snow. In the afternoon, it started snowing again. If you have a local news story, share it with the rest of Southall, by using the contact form.
