Nagar Kirtan in Southall
Sat 31 Oct 2009Thousands of Sikhs in Southall took part in the annual Nagar Kirtan (procession) last Sunday celebrating the Parkash Ustav (Birthday) of Guru Nanak.
The procession usually commences around noon from the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Havelock Road, Southall - the largest Sikh temple in Europe.
It then proceeds through King Street, South Road, High Street, Uxbridge Rd and Green Drive.
The procession finishes at the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Park Avenue, Southall around 4 pm.
