Rapper role model to visit Ealing schools and youth centres
Fri 04 Jun 2010Mutah Beale, sold millions of records with American hip hop group ‘The Outlawz’, before turning his back on the gangster lifestyle. This week he will be visiting Ealing high schools and youth centres to promote an anti-violence message.
His talks will warn young people of the dangers of glamourising gang culture, drawing on his personal experience of losing friends to violence.
On Tuesday, 8th June 2010, Mutah Beale, former member of Tupac Shakur's rap group "Outlawz", will talk about his life at the Abubakr mosque on Southall Broadway after the Maghrib prayers.
He has just hosted a fashion design competition organised by Ealing Borough Police highlighting youth violence and promoting anti-knife crime messages among local young people. This took place last Thursday at the Trailfinder’s Rugby Sports Club in West Ealing.
Last October over 400 people attended a talk by him about the consequences of local crime at The Dominion Centre, Southall.
