Road surfacing around Southall Broadway

Tue 30 Nov 2010
Ealing council is spending £6.5 million to improve its roads network. As part of this investment programme they will be resurfacing Abbotts Road and Beaconsfield Road. Murrill Construction Ltd has been appointed by the Council to undertake the work.

The programme of works is due to start on the 05/12/2010 and to be completed by the 17/12/2010.

Murrill Construction will start with the adjustment of kerbs and gullies on Abbotts Road on the 05/12/2010 and the work will last for approximately one week.

The programme will then move onto Beaconsfield Road for a further 1 week civils work prior to the road surfacing activity.

After the completion of the civil work for both roads, the resurfacing will begin in Abbotts Road and the resurfacing of Beaconsfield Road will follow on consecutively.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm.

In order to facilitate safe working, Abbotts Road and Beaconsfield Road will be closed to through traffic during the two week resurfacing element of the programme. Diversions will be sign posted.

Access to residents’ properties will be permitted but there may be short delays. Emergency access will not be affected.

All parking within the works area will be suspended.

To enable work to take place any vehicles parked in the working area will be relocated to a neighbouring street. They will not be returned to their original position once the work is complete.

Hambrough Road was recently resurfaced as was the pavements on Southall Broadway. Things seems to be getter better rather than worse for a change.
