Arrests at Southall car repair garage

Eleven people were arrested at a car repair garage in Southall following a number of complaints from the public.

Over 70 officers raided Bray Engineering in Brent Road, Southall, and two properties in Guildford, Surrey.

The raid was the result of a number of complaints from the public including assault, theft from motor vehicles, theft of motor vehicles and fraud.

30 people working at the garage when the Police turned up.

Paul Dockerill, the Garage owner and his son Martin, both from Guildford, were arrested.

Two men were being held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit fraud, three on suspicion of assault, three over alleged immigration offences and one over suspected immigration and driving offences.

The number of complaints received about the garage from people across the country forced the Police to take action and the operation took several months to plan.

Last month, when a Sky News team visited the garage they were physically thrown off the premises.
