Smoke was seen coming out of a second floor flat at the newly built Universal House on Southall Broadway at apprioximately 6.40pm on Saturday 19th May 2007.

Fortunately 4 fire engines were on the scene and were able to quickly gain access and serious damage was avoided.

The flat is just above the 2 jewellery shops, damas at 130 The Broadway and Sultan Jewellers at 132 The Broadway.
